At the heart of this album lies my collaboration with my friend Stéphane Galas. When he asked me if I wanted to take part in creating a musical score for his book Metamorphosis, I enthusiastically accepted. As I immersed myself in his writing, I was captivated by its highly cinematic style, which naturally inspired me to compose several pieces along the way, chapter by chapter.

Together, Stéphane (SlØ) and I selected a few tracks, combining them with his own compositions to create the official soundtrack for his book « Metamorphosis ».

With « Ignes Animae », I present you my own vision of this soundtrack: an original musical journey shaped by a central theme that evolves throughout the album in different movements. Alongside this recurring motif, you will find other compositions, at times dark, melancholic, or radiant, all infused with an unmistakable ‘80s spirit. The warmth and retro charm of vintage analog synthesizers bring these pieces to life, echoing the timeless sound of that era.

« Transient Moods » is an auditory journey that I hope will transport you through a tapestry of emotions, thoughts, and experiences. It encapsulates these fleeting moments which are evoking the ever-changing nature of human emotions.
From pulsating electronic beats that ignite the senses to ethereal melodies that transport you to otherworldly dimensions, « Transient Moods » presents an immersive sonic landscape that invites exploration.
The album’s diversity reflects my relentless pursuit of pushing boundaries and transcending genre limitations. With each track, I hope to transport you a while and allow you to immerse yourselves in the ebb and flow of emotions.

The journey that led to this imaginative project blurring the boundaries between literature and music began while Stéphane GALAS was writing the pages of his novel. Inspired by the themes and emotions contained in « METAMORPHOSIS » he had the bold idea of ​​creating a soundtrack to accompany his book.
To bring this vision to life, he invited me to join him in this somewhat crazy project.
This collaboration gave birth to twelve melodic compositions, some  by SLØ  and others by me, ALTERAN.
Whether enjoyed sequentially or in the order of your choice, this soundtrack will immerse you in the world of Granville and its well-kept secrets.

The book « METAMORPHOSIS » was released on October 19, 2023.

Released originally in 2019, « Evolution » laid the foundation for my artistic expression and marked the beginning of an exciting musical journey.

I find great joy in seamlessly blending genres to create unique and captivating atmospheres. « Evolution » is a sonic tapestry that interweaves these diverse influences, resulting in a rich and dynamic musical experience.

« Evolution 2.0 » is the remixed and remastered version of this album, injecting new life into its already captivating essence. This release highlights the evolution of my creative vision.

The album « Incubation » is a collection of tracks that emerged from my daring experiments and genre explorations. Originally not included in my previous release, « Evolution », these compositions are the fruit of my musical explorations.
By releasing « Incubation » and « Evolution 2.0 » simultaneously, I aim to present a comprehensive collection of my work, showcasing the diverse influences that have shaped my musical identity.
